In association with ‘The Lockout’.
The Luxury Fashion label Kalikas Armour presents ‘INCARNATE’.
The Spring Summer 09 catwalk collection: Showing independently at St Pancras Church, Euston on Wednesday 17 September, and exclusively at the Doll On|Off designer exhibition 16-18 September during London Fashion Week September 08.
‘Incarnate’ offers an intimate exploration into feminine mystique. Drawing from elements of familial culture, the contemporary label considers the mythological deity Kalika to portray a dynamic balance of womanly power. It is realising the needs of the woman, who understands a material presence can only partially complete. Jatin Patel makes reference to divinity by Investigating notions of past lives, karma and elements of reincarnation, embellishing the collection by personifying the very essence of Incarnation. The striking and powerful image of a goddess is cast to idolise women pushing forward Patel’s cutting skills, creating dynamic androgynous silhouettes, through carefully controlled lines and structure for the prêt a porter range. The lustrous colour palette of Black, Blue, Teal and White is defined throughout. Tailored British wool venetians and luxurious soft leathers, structured contour pleats and body armour that embrace, and expose the body, achieve a heightened sexuality, deftly subdued in the juxtaposition of British shirting cottons and silk crepes of elegant occasion wear.

Symbolisms of time are represented through the antiquity of pocket watches and chains, adding a meditative value to the collection repeated in the intricacy and sweeping detail creating a controlled aesthetic, within an all British - made product.
KALIKAS ARMOUR is a British brand that takes it inspiration from the myth of the Hindu goddess Kalika, epitomising sophisticated representations of Power and Protection through traditional masculine attire with symbolic armour.
